Scrotal CircumferenceA scrotal circumference measurement is a meaningful selection trait for yearling bulls.
Scrotal circumference is related to:
- Age at puberty, sperm production and number of sperm in the ejaculate
- Age of puberty (first heat) and milk production of daughters
Actual scrotal measurements of IBEP bulls are adjusted for such factors as age of dam, season, age and breed.
Minimum standards have been established for each breed.
