This system allows you to enter bulls for the IBEP 2024 Winter Test.
Bulls must have been born October 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024
You will first fill in information about yourself - name, address, phone number. Then you will fill in information about the bulls you are entering in the test. The information we need for each bull includes:
- Tattoo (required entry)
- Dam's Age in years
- Birth Date (required entry)
- Birth Weight
- Birth Code (single, twin, ET)
- Birth Calving Ease
- Breed
- Registration Number
- Purebred or %
- Polled/Horned/Scurred
- Bull Registration Number (if available)
- Dam Registration Number (required entry)
- Sire Name (required entry)
- Sire Registration Number (required entry)
- Get Number (if you have 3 bulls which will be part of a get-of-sire group)
After you enter the information, you will have the opportunity to revise it if you have corrections.
When you're done, you can print the entry form (landscape format is best). The computer will automatically send your entry information to the IBEP office. However, your entry is not "official" until you have sent us a check for the entry fee ($350/bull for Indiana owners, $375/bull for out-of-state owners). It is not necessary to send a copy of the entry form with the check, as long as you are sure to tell us who you are! Please also print the contract, sign it, and send it with your check.
Note that the bull's Registration Number is on the entry form. We encourage you to register your bull with the appropriate breed association, and send them the birth and weaning information for your bull. That will allow the breed association to calculate EPDs for the bull, and adjusted 205-day weaning information. For most breeds, it will also allow the breed association to calculate adjusted ultrasound scan data and then update the ultrasound/carcass EPDs after the bull is scanned during the test.
